UX/UI Design

Full-scope product design — systems, UX, UI, and the front-end.

I’m Mihael Fugaj — a product designer who owns the whole surface: research, information architecture, interaction, visual systems, and the front-end build. For a decade I’ve led design on small teams across e-commerce, enterprise, and fintech — usually as the person responsible for whether it ships and whether it works.

  • 10+ yrs leading end-to-end product design, usually as lead/owner
  • $2M+ pre-seed Zevo, the P2P EV marketplace I designed end to end
  • Design + front-end I ship the interface, not just the mockup — systems built to hold up in code

How I approach design

Architecture before pixels.

I structure the information and the flow around the decision the user is actually making, then let the visual layer serve it. On Haas that reordering of the IA cut time-to-purchase.

Systems, not screens.

One component system, reused across audiences. At Sancta Domenica that meant consumer, B2B, and a regional storefront sharing a single, consistent design language.

Design the highest-stakes moment first.

The interaction where trust is won or lost gets the most craft — the contactless handoff on Zevo, the enterprise plan picker on Wire.

Selected work

These case studies go deep on process — research, IA, the trade-offs behind each decision. For the product-management lens on the same work, see Product.

How I work

  1. 01 Discover Talk to users and the data; find where intent actually leaks.
  2. 02 Frame Write the problem, the bet, and how we'll know it worked.
  3. 03 Prioritize Sequence by impact-over-effort; protect the critical path.
  4. 04 Ship cross-functionally Design, eng, stakeholders moving as one; integrations included.
  5. 05 Measure & iterate Read the funnel, cut what doesn't move it, repeat.

More on this work

Full-scope product design: research, UX flows, design systems, and polished UI — and I ship the front-end. High-traffic e-commerce, B2B procurement, enterprise communications, and consumer mobile.

The work below is about getting the fundamentals right at scale. Spec-driven product pages, conversion-tuned checkouts, role-based experiences, and design systems that hold up across teams and regions.
